Can any body tell which is the best place for making honeymoon..maui or ohau.

I would opt for Maui for the bulk of the trip and perhaps fly into Kahalui, Maui but fly back via Honolulu, Oahi and spend a couple days on either the north shore or Waikkii to get a feel for what Oahu has to offer.

Both islands have a lot to offer and, if possible, you should try to spend some time on each island. There are great travel deals available to Hawaii right now, so your dollar will go farther. On Maui, where I live, there are many places to see including the drive to Hana, sunrise at Haleakala (the volcano with a crater the size of the island of Manhattan!), luaus with authentic Hawaiian food, hula, and fire knife dancers, beautiful uncrowded sandy beaches, great snorkeling, and friendly people. Oahu offers more cosmopolitan cultural sights, with their own opera, symphony, Waikiki, a large downtown, the Arizona Memorial and the Might Mo, Hawaiian Waters waterpark, Diamond Head hiking, and lots of nightlife and entertainment available. If you choose Oahu, don't miss beautiful Kailua and perhaps a quick hike up to the Lanikai pillboxes (you can google "Lanikai Pillboxes" for maps and directions of the hike), it only takes about 10 minutes and the views/photo opportunities are absolutely stunning.

It doesn't matter what island you want your honeymoon to be on, it's what location is more convenient and affordable?. Of course I would say Kauai is a great place too.

The USA is so big and diverse that it is difficult to pick just one "best" spot...because it is so subejctive and so many people have different ideas about what is "best".

i think maui is better for a honeymoon type of destination. oahu is too big city. maui is relaxing and pleasant. and depending when you go the beaches will be less crowded than the beaches in oahu.

\Kauai Island, Maui Island, Oahu Island, Lanai Island and Kauai Island etc are main islands. I like Iao Valley State Park - Iao Needle, Kaanapali, Kailua Kona - Ahu'ena Heiau, Kalalau Trail and Kalaupapa out of many no second to others.
