Reasonably Priced Hawaii Hotels

I've heard good things about the Royal Grove Hotel (link). Just don't look at any of their virtual tours! The Queen Kapiolani is moderately priced as well. And their virual tours are slightly less horrific, if that means anything to you.

Last year we stayed at the Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel a two minute walk to Waikiki Beach. Its only a 2 1/2 star hotel but for the price "under $100 per night" its an incredible bargain. They were remodeling the back area by the pool when we were there and I believe they are suites so if you have a small family this may be ideal overlooking the pool.

That last one sound nice! I would also check Hotwire.com for hotels. They have like 4 star hotels at
2 star prices.

How important is looking at the beautiful ocean to you? I am willing to pay a bit more for this advantage. How important is a swimming pool to yu? I don't care about that...there is the ocean.
Check out the Entertainment Book. It has a section on hotels athalf price. that is 1/2 the rack rate. A lot of them are Resort Quest places. We booked an oceanfront room at the Resort Quest Waikiki circle fro $105. a night. This hotel has no pool, the rooms are very small, but it is right directly across the street from Kuhio Beach Par, I have stayed in this hotel 10 times. Like I said it is small but clean and the location is excellent and the views are incredible. This September we are upgrading just a bit - no a lot - to the Waikiki Beach Tower for a family group but we got it for half price..
