Honduras festivals

hi guys,

we are booking a trip to Honduras for May instead April to avoid Holy Week...is there any major festivals in May month?

hi there,

One of the largest of all Honduras festivals happens in May and it is the La Ceiba carnival, and it is basically Honduras' version of New Orleans' Mardi Gras or Pamplona's San Fermin.

About a quarter of a million people from all over Honduras and elsewhere in Central America flock to La Ceiba so if you are looking to avoid the crowds, May month may not be the best time.
