visiting Hungary in the winter

any of you seasoned travelers have been to Hungary in late winter? what's the weather like there at the moment and would you advise me to skip Hungary?

Most people that visit Hungary in the winter are mainly outdoor winter sport enthusiasts looking to do horseback riding, hiking, or fishing. The weather in Hungary isn't so cold at the moment and the true snowy winter months are experienced in Hungary during Jan and Feb when people come down for skiing or snowboarding vacation.

My advice is that if you want to visit Hungary in the winter is to stick to the larger cities like Budapest rather than brave the cold if you don’t like it. There are many attractions in Hungary throughout the capital that will keep you entertained, and warm such as the thermal spas.
