historic towns in Hungary

we're traveling to Hungary in two weeks and we're mainly staying in Budapest. any ideas what other cities offer historic towns in Hungary?

Hi there,

Hungary offers historic towns not only in Budapest where you can find true Hungarian culture and tradition. Several urban centers offer extensive history on Hungary and blocks of beautiful architecture painting a picture of times long ago.

Places such as Esztergom which was the very first capital of Hungary from the eleventh century through the fourteenth century. While there, take a walk through Esztergom’s avenues where the Basilica, the Museum of the Stronghold of Esztergom, and the palace ruins illustrate a long and arduous past.
