One of the top things to do in Pecs is to visit its wineries and sample their lovely wine as well as spending some time exploring the vineyards in the surrounding countryside.

Another of the things to do in Pecs is simply stroll around the Old Town with its elegant central Széchenyi Square, Holy Trinity column, baroque Bishop’s Palace, classicist and art nouveau houses, and the dominating bulk of the mosque-like Parish Church.

Other Pecs attractions include the Zsolnay Museum which contains significant tile, ceramic, and porcelain pieces made under the guidance of Vilmos Zsolnay, who gave his name to the town’s main square.

As one of the largest cities of Hungary, Pecs offers variety of activities including sightseeing, shopping, dining, nightlife and much more. Some of the popular Pecs attractions are Pecs cathedral, Necropolis and Magashaz, Bishop's palace, subterranean thermal waters and minerals and Zsolnay museum. Pecs is located in the warmest region of Hungary, so you can visit any time of the year especially in Spring.

We have done Hungary tours during June and the highlight of our tour is the Mount Mecsek visit. It's one of the popular Pecs attractions and we enjoyed the magnificent view of the entire Pecs from this Mount Mecsek. You can even go hiking in Mecsek hills. And the Szechenyi Plaza is the best place to spend your evening in Pecs. Shopping is one of the major things to do in Pecs. We have done our major shopping in Arkadok shopping centre, really it's a nice place to shop for electronics goods, clothes, pottery works and some art things. You can also buy leather goods for cheaper price. Pecs is an excellent place for biking and from April to October you can go for mountain biking around the the Kisulbanya forest area. Also visit the charming spa town Harkany which is located very short distance from Pecs for a special spa experience .
