|  traveling to Idaho in late August hiya, we were wondering if traveling in late August will be cheaper in lake resort towns such as Coeur d'Alene? if not, what family spots do you recommend that offer many outdoor opportunities? |

| Re: traveling to Idaho in late August hi there, The peak summer months in Idaho run from June through September, so it will be more expensive to travel here, especially in lake resort towns such as Coeur d'Alene, where water sports and golfing are main things to do. For a great family vacation, I'd say head to Sun Valley and the Sawtooth Mountain National Recreation Area where you can also enjoy whitewater rafting trips. hope this helps Vacationbuddy
