Default Chicago Illinois Hotels

Anyone been to a good Chicago hotel? I'm not gonna be on Oprah so I won't staying at the fabulous Omni Hotel, but I will be looking for a decent amount of comfort and I'm willing to pay a bix extra for it (not too much though!). If anyone has any suggestions let me know and I'd be very appreciative!

Chicago City Centre 300 E. Ohio St. Has great amenities: two pools (indoor and outdoor), free access to the Lake Shore Athletic Club, and just a few blocks from Navy Pier. or more expensive but very nice the W Chicago Lakeshore 644 N. Lake Shore Dr. The city's only hotel with a lakefront location.

A friend of mine is going to Northwestern for grad school, I'll try to see what the word on the street is in terms of Chicago hotels.

Red face Re: Chicago Illinois Hotels

I stayed at the Doubletree in Arlington Heights. It was comfortable. Arligton Heights is a suburb of Chicago, so I'm not sure if that helps you or not.
