| I am concerned about safety in India and I am wondering if there are parts of India off-limits to tourists..any tips or suggestions that make help are appreciated, thanks |

| Yes, India is relatively safe despite what you may hear on the news, though arriving to India for the first time is a "shock to the system", especially coming from the states. I've been to New Delhi and there are plenty of American expats over there. If you're planning to rent a car in India, I'd say forget about it! it's really dangerous on the Indian highways and accidents are so frequent..trust me, leave the driving to the locals!:) India is a lovely country with warm and hospitable people, and sure it's not the states, the place has its own charm and appeal. Plan your trip properly and you'll love it over there..good luck |
