indian tourist visa mistake

Hey all,

I applied for an indian tourist visa and was not aware that its start from the day of issue and not from the day of arrival in india. So I am currently sit with a visa that that expires 10 days before I am due to leave.
Where do I go from here can I get this visa cancelled and reapply or am I basically screwed.

Any suggestions....

Sorry to hear that! Many people make that mistake, but don't worry you have a couple choices. You could either rearrange your trip, or get a new visa nearer the time of your departure.

By the way, if you're thinking about overstaying, don't! You'll have all sorts of problems in future when wanting to apply for a visa extension in India.
