Accomodation costs in India

hiya, can anyone advise on travel costs once we arrive there? are things expensive over there?

Hi there,

Things are more expensive in the larger cities such as Mumbai (Bombay) and Delhi, as well as at popular tourist destinations.

Roughly speaking, if you stay in basic lodgings, travel on the cheaper buses, eating simple meals and doing limited sightseeing you can spend at least $10 (Rs500) a day.

Accommodation prices in India do go up during festivals or other special events, with some hotels charging at least double the normal rate during these times. Accommodation rates range from $8 to $35 a night.

India is not very expensive country than others and here accommodation cost depends on destination you visit. if you visit Delhi - you get room in 1000Rs., if Jaipur you can get room in 500 Rs.
