|  Shimla transportation Hi there, We'll be traveling to New Delhi, India and staying most of our holiday there. However, we're looking at seeing other cities such as Shimla. Is there an arport in Shimla? what other ways can we use to get to Shimla? |

|  Re: Shimla transportation hi there, There is a small airport near Shimla India called Jubbarhatti, if youa want to take regional flight. Also, there is a train from Delhi to the city of Kalka, where you can board a direct train to Shimla. In fact, the four-hour train trip from Delhi to Kalka is considered to be one of the major attractions in Shimla, since the track with stunning vistas and 103 tunnels has recently been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site |

|  Re: Shimla transportation By Air: Shimla has an airport about 23 km off Shimla, named Jubbarhati Airport. most convenient way to reach shimla. By Road: You can go ther by road. The transport system within the town is good. Roadways and National Highway 22 that links the town with Chandigarh. By Rail: Reaching Shimla by rail is also very convenient as Kalka is the nearest major railhead. -------------------------------------------- Himachal Pradesh has three airports. 1. Kangra Airport at Gaggal 15 kilometres from Dharamshala and 25 kilometres from Mcleodganj 2. Shimla Airport at Jubbar Hatti 23 kilometres from Shimla 3. Kullu Airport at Bhuntar 10 kilometres from Kullu and 50 kilometres from Manali. |
