Wildlife sanctuaries are located all throughout India, so regardless of what part of the country you're traveling in, you should have no trouble finding a wildlife preserve to visit.

For instance, the state of Kerala, home to the city of Trivandrum, has several sanctuaries, including the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary.

India has over 441 animal sanctuaries, known as nature sanctuaries (IUCN category IV protected area). Of these, 28 Tiger Reserves are governed by Project Tiger, and are of particular importance to tiger conservation. Some wildlife sanctuaries are named Bird Sanctuary, for example. There are many Wildlife sanctuaries in India.First of all you have decide it yourself where and which part of India you are visiting.

nice list of wildlife sanctuaries in India...Mudumalai / Bandipur are my favorite areas to see wildlife. The area has some of the largest remaining population of Asian elephants, and it is hard not to see them (at least in the couple of times I was in the south of India). I prefer the Mudumalai area, although it has been taken over by a weed that makes viewing wildlife more difficult.

Visit Corbett national park, Its a beautiful place for wildlife lovers.
But visit there in the morning shift, you will have better chance of watching wild animals.
