I am planning a multi city 2 week trip within India. in March. whats the best way to book airline tickets now from the US? Thanks

US airlines with service to India include Continental, Delta, American Airlines, Northwest, United Airlines, and US Airways.

Domestic flights in India are actually quite cheap and it is a great to travel within the country.

Airlines operating domestic flights between major Indian airports include Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Kingfisher airlines, and a variety of low-cost carriers.

There are many options by which you can come.As far as i know Many airlines are providing their to India like American airlines etc.You can also take the help from net and visit the airlines website.

Booking online is the best way for domestic travel within India itself. And I'll HIGHLY recommend you take that mode of transport within India :)

tere are various online travel booking sites....and most of the major cities are nowadays well connected...
but I suggest that you also make a few trips by train or cars to have a closer feel of the land and the people...

Most Indian airports you won't get through the door into the airport main hall without a valid ticket and/or identification,let alone fly. The doors are guarded by police with rifles,handguns,or shotguns,and they check everyone who tries to enter. Even traveling by train over a long distance requires you to fill out a form with your personal details,and identification is normally asked for.

You can book your flight tickets and hotels through online. Lots of sites are there like makemytrip, cleartrip, yatra etc
