Red face Carmel events and recreation opportunities

hi everyone, our family will be heading this summer to Indiana and we'll be staying most likely in Carmel. What summer events and recreation opportunities does the city offer?

hi there,

In July you have the Carmelfest, which takes place on July 4th and is an Independence Day celebration filled with music, food, vendors, and, of course, fireworks.

The Carmel International Arts Fest is another huge festival where you can see amazing art work and ware.

If outdoor recreation opportunities is what you're looking for, Carmel has several parks and even an aquatic center, which offer playgrounds, hiking trails, arboretums, and picnic areas.

The Carmel Bach Festival, the oldest in the West and one of the biggest in the United States (easily beating out Bach fests in both Peoria, Ill., and Kalamazoo, Mich.), is marking its 71st year with 22 days of concerts, recitals, interactive talks, master classes and social events, all celebrating "the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, his contemporaries and musical heirs."
