| Hi there, The most popular Muncie events are the large number of musical performances that are put on by Muncie residents. The city boasts a large number musical groups throughout the city from chamber choirs to jazz ensembles. These numerous groups showcase their talents throughout the year at a number of Muncie venues. These shows are a great way for visitors to experience an important part of the culture in Muncie. The museums and other foundations and organizations in the city also sponsor Muncie events throughout the year. Such events highlight aspects of the city such as the history and heritage, food, and arts. Downtown Muncie is where most of these events take place. The downtown district of Muncie is definitely the hub of all cultural activity in Muncie, and is a great place to find accommodations. It is also the best place to find great restaurants. Downtown also has a number of statues that are of regional interest. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| There is more to do in Muncie than you would expect. My grandma lives there and she adores Minnistrista, which is a museum center/garden/historic house/farmers market. It's a fun place to visit. It was home to the Ball Bros. (the canning jar guys), and many other sites in Muncie are related to their history and philanthropy. On the campus of Ball State University, there's an amazing art museum as well as a glassmaking studio. Muncie also is the home of Jim Davis, the cartoonist behind Garfield. If you want to see more of the cat, you can visit the Muncie Visitor Center and the Fairmount Museum in the next town over. Fairmount also happens to be the home of James Dean, too! |
