hi guys, what's Indonesia like? i am wondering what to expect of an Indonesian holiday..any ideas?

Indonesia has a strong multiplicity of ethnic groups which gives way to many cultural events and religious festivals throughout the year such as Larantuks's Easter parade, Bali's Galungan festival and the Balinese New Year (March-April).

Indonesia also boasts tropical jungles where you find Orang-utan sanctuaries which preserve these special animals and other rare endangered species. Indonesia is all about nature and eco-tourism which is why Jungle discovery treks and trails are actively encourage in many eco-friendly Indonesia tours.

You can also visit number of museums, beautiful parks and gardens in Indonesia. We had 2 weeks Indonesia holidays 2 years back and visited Lombok & Bali. From history to culture and outdoors, we have enjoyed a lot. Especially we liked the stunning beaches and delicious food. Lombok island is an ideal place for river rafting and surfing, if you an adventurous like person then definitely you like this island.

I heard that the Borneo Island is the world's 3rd biggest island and famous for it's wild life. So if you get time visit this island too during your holidays in Indonesia.
