Getting Around in Indonesia

hello, whats transportation like in Indonesia and how do you suggest getting around?

hi there,

Indonesia has a great transport system that consists of :

- Trains which are available throughout Java and in parts of Sumatra and are invariably enjoyable ways to experience the essence of the country.

- Buses and taxis: Another convenient and relatively cheap way to travel across. Most people book taxis and get off the beaten track and explore the island.

- Ferries & Ships: provide some unique opportunities to experience the beauty that is the Indonesian Islands.

Hi,

Indonesia has similar transportation system as other EU countries.
If you go to Jakarta, they have a Bus Way system which is fast, reliable and cheap.

You can get around Bali and Lombok by mini van, and ferries connect all the islands. Around cities, you can take taxis or motor bikes.
