| Hi there, There are a number of Galway tourism kiosks and offices that can historical landmarks and monuments. Some of the top attractions in Galway are: - The Lynch’s Castle which is a wonderfully preserved 16th-century fortified house. - The Lynch Memorial Window, where it is rumored that James Lynch FitzStephen, a 16th century Galway mayor, executed his own son. - The Spanish Arch - The Salmon Weir Bridge - The Eyre Square - The Collegiate Church of St. Nicholas - The Galway City Museum. | Hi, you should also travel out of Galway city towards Spidal and Connemara which are the Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) areas. People are very laid back and friendly here. You could also visit the Cliffs of Moher which are in Clare but are a short drive from Galway. Check out the traditional Irish music in the many old pubs of Galway. Great atmosphere. You are best to hire a car to see the nooks and crannies of the country. It is a hassle getting around on public transport. |
