Rome airport train

hello,

we are flying into Rome next month and expected to land at Leonardo da Vinci International Airport.

We're planning to get from the airport to the city center by train? is getting the train fairly easy and is Rome airport train cheaper than a mini cab?

hi there,

The airport train is certainly cheaper than an airport taxi. The train is around 10EUR versus 50EUR that a taxi is likely to cost.

However, to get to the city center from the airport, there are a few things you need to know about getting a Rome airport train:

1)After you retrieve your luggage, keep your eyes open for the signs to Stazione FS/Railway Station. It is located two full floors above baggage pick-up.

2)You will need to purchase a ticket for your Rome airport train (“Per Termini”) at the FS counter or any of the vending machines located within the train station.

3)Be sure to validate your ticket before getting on the train. The specific train that runs to Termini Station in the heart of Rome departs frequently and operates from 6:37 a.m. to 10:52 p.m.
