Default is 10 days in Italy enough to see it all?

I'm taking my 16 year-old to Italy and want to see most of the attractions in Rome, Pompeii in Naples, Venice and Pisa in Florence...is 10 days enough to see it all?

Opinions? Recommendations for/against?

Yes, I think so!

I'd suggest spending 3 days in Rome and 2 days in Florence, Venice and Naples, though I'd suggest skipping Venice as it is kind of out of the way of the other places.

If Rome will be your base for 3 days, this is what you can do:

In Rome, you must see the Pantheon, Coliseum and the Forum and see Hadrian's villa in Tivoli, which you may enjoy.

From Rome, you can take the Circumvensia train to Pompeii one day and take a hydrofoil to Naples another day to go to the Museo Archaeological.

The third day in Rome, you can see some of the Amalfi coast and maybe go to Capri, or Positano to check out some breathtaking views.

Well, this seems to be more than enough if you intend on visiting only the more famous sites. On the other hand, if you want to see more, I suggest that you extend your trip to two weeks.
