| Due to our schedule, my husband and I are planning to be in Assisi for two days this August (en route from Paris to Croatia). We have heard this might be a bit too much (unless of course you are a religious scholar which neither of us is). Can anyone recommend any sites within Assisi (off the beaten path that don't make the travel guides) or day trips that would be worthy? Please note we will not have a car and need to rely on public transportation as well as the fact that our Italian is quite limited. We love to eat, drink, photograph and explore our way off the beaten path . . . any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, |
