Italy

Art, History, and thousands of years of modern culture can be found in Italy. At the beautiful city of Venice you can experience the Venice Carnevale. Visit the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museum. Visit the Trevi Fountain and experience the fable power. Lean with the Leaning Tower Of Pisa or stand with the Statue of David.

Default Bologna

Does anyone have any "Must See" recommendations for a short stay in Bologna?

I will be there for 3 days. We like to walk, walk and then walk some more. Which is good since we won't have a car.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Bologna

Getting around Bologna is great on foot since taxis are little expensive. We just came back from our 10 days Italian trip. We have seen Palazzo Comunale (part 13th century), Palazzo del Podesta (Governor's Palace), San Petronio Basilica (1390), Santa Stefano and Pinacoteca, which is an art gallery with some interesting paintings. Bologna is popular for some of the finest food of Italy. We really enjoyed the splendid covered market and walking round. And I would definitely recommend the two towers of the city and you can climb them up. There is a ghost tour of the city that is taken at night, which we can sign up for in the tourist center in piazza maggiore. We have visited bologna in summer, so we got a chance to see free concerts, dances, and operas. You can also visit la Gelateria Gianni’s which is the best gelato in the city. It is located next door to the cinema, and most Bolognese people can tell you the direction to it. I never forget my Bologna trip and hope you will also enjoy it!
