|  day trip from Monaco to Portofino Is it feasible to take a day trip from Monaco to Portofino in the Italian Riviera. Heard there are some great walks/hikes between towns. We'll have a car but could do train if faster.. |

| Re: day trip from Monaco to Portofino It's definitely feasible to take a day trip from Monaco to Portofino in the Italian Riviera as it's really a long drive(90 minutes max), though the train takes hours, and it doesn't stop in Portofino. Having said this, I think it'll be a bit of a waste going from Monaco to Portofino as you'll just be going from one sterile depot of the rich and the wanna-be rich to another. Another thing if you plan to do this trip in summer, you will find that driving to Portofino, finding parking and paying for parking will an expensive nightmare! |
