Italy

Art, History, and thousands of years of modern culture can be found in Italy. At the beautiful city of Venice you can experience the Venice Carnevale. Visit the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museum. Visit the Trevi Fountain and experience the fable power. Lean with the Leaning Tower Of Pisa or stand with the Statue of David.

Planning to spend 7 to 8 days in Tuscany in middle of August with my husband. Probably will go to Florence as starting point, need your advice on how to proceed with the trip. We love wine and food .....Any suggestions?

Default Re: Advice needed on Tuscany

I am a wine and food lover of Italy and visited Tuscany in last December. I had a wonderful wine vacation that included trip to wineries, private tasting and some hiking tours that I will never forget. My Tuscany tour started in Florence, lasts 10 days with the visit of Florence, San Gimignano and Portoferraio. First I have visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa and had a Lucca historic city walk. After I went to to Viareggio, a fashionable seaside resort and explored the sights and relaxed on the beach. The Boat cruise from Piombino to Elba was very excellent followed by sightseeing in San Gimignano. I had a little rest and enjoyed the Volterra city tour to visit the places such as Piazza dei Priori, Duomo and Battistero. I got a chance to visit San Vivaldo monastery and enjoyed my most favorite Chianti winery tour also. Have a great vacation in Tuscany, don’t miss any places and enjoy your trip.
