| Hi, I am trying to plan a rail trip starting in Brittany, bringing us through Paris and down to Italy, I want to see the best of what Italy has, spending at least 2 nights in Rome, we really want to see pompeii, a trip to Sicily would be fantastic, we HAVE to go on the water ways in Venice and I just dont know where to start! I hope to spend a week to ten days in total in Italy (and another week in France), we must start and finish in Northern Italy as we are travelling by ferry from Ireland. Everywhere we go must also be easily accessible by rail as this is our preferred mode of transport. Overnight trains are always an option too. I am going to post in the France forum for similar info about France trips but if anyone has any suggestions here feel free. Cheers! Helena |
