Italy

Art, History, and thousands of years of modern culture can be found in Italy. At the beautiful city of Venice you can experience the Venice Carnevale. Visit the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museum. Visit the Trevi Fountain and experience the fable power. Lean with the Leaning Tower Of Pisa or stand with the Statue of David.

Default Best way to travel from Vicarello to Venice

I'm looking for suggestions as the best way to get from Vicarello to Venice. We are picking up a hire car from Pisa before staying at Vicarello and I was thinking of returning the car there, then picking up a train to Venice. An alternative would be to drive to Florence and get a train from there, but I've heard driving in Florence is a nightmare, and I'm not a confident driver. Any suggestions would be welcome for the best place to get a train from. Thanks

If you are not a confident driver, then a train anywhere would be your best option.
If it's all freeway driving (and you stay out of that far left lane) you're probably ok because it's a straight shot on the freeway into Venice where the car returns are, but what fun is that?
Exploring small towns along the way is fun--just be careful of those skinny, winding roads--you may find yourself having to back all the way out!!.
To me, a rental car is just not worth the stress and hassle unless you're into exploring the small towns and back roads, and for that, I think you need to be quite a good driver.
Driving in Italy is not for the faint-hearted!
Take good care!
