Italy

Art, History, and thousands of years of modern culture can be found in Italy. At the beautiful city of Venice you can experience the Venice Carnevale. Visit the Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museum. Visit the Trevi Fountain and experience the fable power. Lean with the Leaning Tower Of Pisa or stand with the Statue of David.

Default Beaches near Emilia Romagna

I'm trying to organise a beach trip for a few friends of mine. We all live in Parma, so are looking to spend around 3/4 hours on the train to get to the coast. I've been told that Rimini isn't particularly great, and that I should maybe be looking for somewhere on the west coast. Any suggestions?

Default Re: Beaches near Emilia Romagna

Have you ever tried the Beaches in La Spezia or Ancona? They arent much further than Rimini

Heres some information on the beaches in these locations.

La Spezia - The coastline is a real attraction in summer. Far from the baying crowds of tourists familiar to those who have visited the nearby Italian cities or the French Riviera, the beaches of La Spezia remain quiet and picturesque. With such clear, warm waters lapping the shore, swimming, snorkelling and just relaxing on the beaches are a genuine delight.

Ancona - The Velvet Beach is located on the North coast of Ancona, and is characterized by flat, wide sandy beaches, which make it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun. There is a gradual deepening of the sea, and because of this, families with children appreciate the beach.
