Question A student in Italy or volunteer in Ghana?

Help! My bestfriend really want to travel but doubting between two opportunities that she actually both want but that is impossible. She always wanted to study Italian and be on a real 'viaggi studio' but a cousin of mine worked in Ghana and said that that was the most amazing experience of his life and gave the advise to do it too. She ask me to decide for her because she trust me to pick the right choice since ive done more travels already. So what am i going to suggest for her being a student in italy or being one of the volunteers overseas Ghana? Thank you in advance all!

Default Re: A student in Italy or volunteer in Ghana?

Hi there,

I personally think volunteering as a whole it is a more rewarding experience. Participating in an overseas volunteer program will offer her the opportunity in helping others and making the world a better place to live.

Volunteering looks good on your CV and employers often want to know about any volunteering you've done. Many employers state a preference for applicants with voluntary work experience.

Also, volunteering will offer her the opportunity in acquiring a valuable work experience and putting into use her creative skills. She will also have a cultural exchange, cross-cultural exposure, cultural immersion, make new friends, and so on.

Hope this helps
