Hi there,

Montego Bay has the largest collection of these all-inclusive Jamaica resorts, making it the most popular area of the country, and also because most Jamaica travel packages and airlines use the bay as a hub.

It is also the nightlife capital of the country, with discos and bar lining the edges of what is known as the "hip strip." Negril, Ocho Rios and the area surrounding the capital city of Kingston are the other popular places to stay. Each have their own peculiarities and selling points.

Hope this helps

Thumbs up Re: most popular area in Jamaica

Hi gullianirichi,

Ocho Rios is the most popular tourist area of Jamaica and a perfect place to have more fun and a great nightlife. You can enjoy variety of activities from jeep tours to horseback riding and sailing to deep-sea fishing. Ocho Rios is also home to a number of wonderful pubs & restaurants and offers various nightlife options such as discos and bars especially in Margariteville area. The Amnesia night club which is located in the middle of the Ocho Rios is the top place for music lovers. The Acropolis Disco is also a famous club with hiphop, R&B and pop music, open from 9pm - 5am everyday.

Ocho Rios offers tropical weather throughout the year and it's most popular attractions are Dolphin Cove and Dunns River Falls. The Dunn's River Falls is a major Caribbean tourist attraction and climbing up the waterfalls is an exciting experience, so don't miss it. And at Dolphin Cove, you can swim with dolphins & sharks, enjoy the kayaking or you can relax on the pearl white beach; many Jamaica beach pictures are of this area.

Ocho Rios has some of finest resorts in Jamaica and offers rich night life for adults and lots of activities for kids. Explore the spectacular waterfalls, lush natural parks and the vibrant night life of Ocho Rios and have more fun :)

hi there,

If you are looking to book into the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, I would recommend a package combining accommodation with a flight to Montego Bay.

Other resorts to consider in Montego Bay are Relax Resort, Montego Bay Resort and Wexford Montego Bay.

Thumbs up Have you been to Jamaica?

Which part of Jamaica have you been? All the places in Jamaica are equally breathtaking so i usually make sure to tour my friends in all places as possible during their stay here.

If you're planning a trip in Jamaica don't fail to visit Negril, Montego bay and Ocho Rios. :)
