How long to stay in Tokyo?

I am planning a trip next summer to Hong Kong and Tokyo. I am wondering as to how long shouldi stay in each place and for Tokyo, are there ever any "day trips" to Mt Fuji by Bullet Train and back to Tokyo?

I enjoyed the two great cities Hong Kong and Tokyo and my vacation was wonderful. Hong Kong is an amazing place for its stunning panoramas and Tokyo is an amazing place for its contrasts of old and new. In Hong Kong, the food choices were superb and my half-day tour was lots of fun and informative. I got a chance to ride the one-hour turbo-foil from Hong Kong to Macau,oh! it was fabulous. I did most of my shopping in Hong Kong, as the prices were great. I have also visited Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain during my Tokyo visit and you can also visit this wonder by bullet train and possibly spend three nights in Hong Kong as well as three nights in Tokyo. Have a nice trip!

It depends on how mach you can spend for shopping and eating in Tokyo :)
Also it depends on what do you want to do in Tokyo.
You can go to Akihabara to buy some new PC. and
Roppongui to go clubbing and many museums in suburbs.
Of course, the house and garden on emperor and Tokyo bay is very romantic at night.
Maybe, if you are not " anime or manga otaku" you can enjoy there for 3 days.
And I reccommend you to take a shinkansen (bullet train) to go to Kyoto, even if 1 or 2 days.
