I say if you've got two weeks, take a week in each city. Tokyo Travel is great! The possibilities are endless. It is Japan's capital and is a bit scary at first, because of the size but Tokyo offers some great shopping districts, markets, parks, walking tours. You should definitely plan your day trip in Tokyo prior to going there. If you're there for about a week, maybe Suggested Itineraries might be the better way to go.

In Hong Kong, you may not need a week but depending on if you enjoy the nightlife they have to offer, you may want to add a buffer of a day or two. Hong Kong is divided into the following four main areas:

1. Hong Kong Island
2. Kowloon
3. The New Territories
4. The Outlying Islands

Hong Kong Island is home to Victoria peak, I would definitely give that a go.

What kind of time frame are you looking at? and when would you plan to go?
