Default Staying in Japan for 1 year

I will be travelling to Japan (through my company) next month and I am planning to stay for 1 year at least.
The client is located at Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

I will be travelling with my wife.

Please help me out in knowing the cost of living, vegeterian food and other challenges I will be facing over there.

Which area I should live in so that the apartment will be affordable.

Please suggest.

Have you company offered to help you in anyway with your move?

i would imagine you would need company help with finding an apartment and a great many other settling-in issues, unless you speak Japanese. Housing is very, very expenisve and fairly difficult to find. Someone from you company will have to contact the appropriate offices to set up billing for your utilities, get you a phone, and get you settled in.

Where are you moving from? If you are coming from a country with relatively low living costs, you may find Tokyo expensive.

If you look at the Tokyo section of the website you will find advice on things to do, transportation, weather, shopping etc. All useful information that could help when planning your trip.

Last year I visited Japan for the first time and I have to say that I spent there the best holidays of my life. I have been there for 2 weeks. I visited Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. The most beautiful temples were in Kyoto. What a such beautifull place such as Kiyomizudera temple, The cost of living is such as in UK (about 600-700 pounds a month for living there)
