Question Things to do in Lake Victoria

Hiya,

We'll be arriving in Kisumu in ten days time, and i am very excited to get there...my question is regarding our itinerary. I was wondering what things to do in Lake Victoria could you suggest?

hi there,

One of the top things to do in Lake Victoria it's to go out with local fishermen for a day. Also, if you wish to take in as much of Lake Victoria as you can, there are ferries that connect the premier lakeside cities, so you can always hop on one of those to hit different destinations in different countries.

Also, the fishing lodges on the Kenyan islands of Takawiri, Rusinga, and Mfangano, make for excellent bases if you are interested in enjoying Lake Victoria travel.

Hi,

Wonderful that you are visiting the western part of Kenya --Kisumu!

In Lake Victoria you will enjoy amazing bird watching as the lake attracts a variety of large water birds.
Generally however, western part of Kenya is an extremely scenic region with gentle hills and emerald tea plantations.
Be prepared for the best

Best regards,
Jackline
