Las Vegas deals in January

My husband and i are first time visitors to Las vegas and are to be arriving on the 17th January, we are looking for a reasonably priced well situated hotel, that is not too smokey.

I have heard that there can be some good deals at that time of year. Should i wait for as long possible before booking?

Any recommendations/advice would be appreciated.

I wouldn't worry much about smokey rooms just ask for non-smoking and stay at a minimum 3star hotel. I can recommend a few good options if I knew your price range,
also if you have a couple hotels in mind. Here's a good list of Las Vegas hotels to get an idea of whats there.

Mid-January should be a good time since CES will be over. I won't have any promo codes for January until about Sep-October which would help you get the best hotel deal.

Sorry i should have clarified, I have heard that some hotels public areas are much smokier than others.

I like the look of the Ballagio, Ceasars Palace, Venetian which at the moment are a bit out of my price range but will hopefully be cheaper come January.

Some hotels in a bit smokey in the bars but not the casino floors. If you're staying at any of the luxury hotels you mention I would not worry its very clean.. Your best bet is the Bellagio for a deal and its in a great location as well.
