Venetian Hotel gondola ride

Is the gondoal ride at the venetian better on the inside ride or the outside? I am proposing to my lady and i want to follow up the proposal with a nice romatic gondolla ride.

My vote would be outside around dusk in the summer when its warm. Inside you'll get people watching you and if thats the effect your after then maybe thats better.
