Default Las Vegas fireworks display new years

Las Vegas New Year's Eve fireworks displays that typically shoot off from the tops of Las Vegas Hotels will happen from the streets this year,

Because of concerns over fire safety the aerial display will be set off from hotels parking lots, with rockets and streamers shot at different angles and at lower heights than in previous years.

Las Vegas organizers expect some 250,000 people to view the display, down from 284,000 last year.

Fireworks locations will include the parking lots of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Luxor, MGM Grand Hotel, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island and Stratosphere casino on the Las Vegas Strip. In downtown Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Fremont Street Experience.
