| Re: CBGB Las Vegas Yes, this is a big thing for Vegas...when we first heard of this about 6 months ago, many in town were not only excited about what it will do for the nightlife, but the benefits of getting more national exposure to our music scene...Vegas is going to become the next hotbed of music....ever hear of a band called The Killers?...They are currently launching their sophomore release with the very Vegas friendly title: Sam's Town (which, if you don't know, is one of the locals' casinos in the Vegas area.... CBGB is going to be in a new area descibed by many as Freemont East, where Beauty Bar currently resides...watch for the development of this area in the next few years...there is hope to begin the first phase this fall! Also, Vegas has been conducting a "First Friday" event featuring live music and the arts for the past few years...it has slowly been building momentum and will also contribute to the neophyte music scene beginning to develop VE!
