| CineVegas is an annual upcoming independent film festival in Las Vegas and continues to perpetually build momentum in terms of publicity and star power. As a part of this annual event, their marketing efforts are beginning to extend to various events throughout the year under the branded name "CineVegas". With that, I received the following press release about one such event this month. See below for more details. By the way, the Brenden Theatres is located at the Palms Hotel VE! CINEVEGAS PRESENTS LAS VEGAS SCREENINGS OF JOHN CAMERON MITCHELL'S SHORTBUS CineVegas is proud to present 4 days of exclusive, private screenings of John Cameron Mitchell’s critically acclaimed SHORTBUS. Starting November 9, CineVegas will provide audiences their only chance to see this controversial film on the big screen in Las Vegas. Join us at the Brenden Theatres and see the film everyone will be talking about. John Cameron Mitchell’s SHORTBUS explores the lives of several emotionally challenged characters as they navigate the comic and tragic intersections between love and *** in and around a modern-day underground salon. A *** therapist who has never had an orgasm, a dominatrix who is unable to connect, a gay couple who are deciding whether to open up their relationship, and the people who weave in and out of their lives, all converge on a weekly gathering called Shortbus: a mad nexus of art, music, politics and poly***ual carnality. Set in a post-9/11, Bush-exhausted New York City, SHORTBUS tells its story with ***ual frankness, suggesting new ways to reconcile questions of the mind, pleasures of the flesh and imperatives of the heart. “As utopian visions go, it doesn’t get much better than “Shortbus,” a film in which all you need is love - and ***, lots and lots of mutually, sometimes collectively, pleasurable ***.” -Manohla Dargis, New York Times Tickets are $10 and will be available at www.cinevegas.com starting Monday, November 6th. You can also get tickets 1 hour before screenings at the CineVegas Will Call desk at the Brenden Theatres. If you have any questions, please call 702.992.7979 or email info@cinevegas.com. Due to graphic ***ual content, no one under 18 will be admitted to screenings. Showtimes: Thurs, 11/9 : 7:15pm, 9:30pm Fri, 11/10: 5:00pm, 7:15pm, 9:30pm Sat, 11/11: 5:00pm, 7:15pm, 9:30pm Sun, 11/12: 5:00pm, 7:15pm, 9:30pm
