Louisiana

Get travel advice from real travelers, read hotel reviews, and get help on getting there and around the state. Louisiana is ready once again for tourists! The things to do are still there, like visiting New Orleans and Bourbon Street (and Mardi Gras) or visiting a Louisiana plantation after a relaxing New Orleans river cruise.

In New Orleans Louisiana I would recommend you to explore the French Quarter you can experience the magic and mystery, New Orleans’ unique architecture, history, art, music and shops in one stop! World-renowned restaurants line the streets in one of America’s most historic areas. You can indulge yourself with local delicacies, unique flavors and famous New Orleans cocktails at every meal. You can experience culinary delights within each French Quarter restaurant. In a city famous for music, the streets of the French Quarter are swinging every night of the week. No matter your age or interest, there is music for every ear wafting out of downtown clubs and restaurants. There’s a reason so many visitors flock to the French Quarter every day – both locals and tourists can’t get enough of the unique area’s unique attractions. From the beautiful architecture to art galleries, museums, restaurants, and bars, the French Quarter has something for everyone – no matter what your interests, budget, or age may be. Join up with a tour and learn more about the fascinating history of the area, or spend the entire day exploring and shopping in the area, topping everything off with an excellent meal in a world-famous restaurant and some live music. With so much culture, history, and entertainment, you’ll find a unique and exciting experience around every corner. You will wish you had more than two days to spend there but Shreveport Louisiana also has so much to offer.
Shreveport is the commercial and cultural center of the Ark-La-Tex, the area where Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas meet. Some call it the "Gateway to East Texas;" others have observed that Shreveport sits on the border between the South and the West. Besides the casinos, there are plenty of other attractions in Shreveport LA. The Csi Port Discovery Center is a 67,000 square foot center with over 200 hands-on experiences, eight interactive discovery areas, and an IMAX Dome Theater. For anyone who enjoys the smell of roses this is the place to go. There are so many rose gardens you may never make it to see all of them. Also the comedy club is a great place to go,with good drinks and great laughs.
The Shreveport Funny Bone Comedy Club is a must for all, weather your a local shreveporter, or traveling.
And there is the Sci-Port Discovery Center Interactive science museum features lively and educational exhibits such as the bed of nails, bubbles and build-a-skeleton.
Music 516 Soundstage usually metal and hardcore on the weekends.
The Noble Savage blues and folk music. decent bar. ok food.
Bar and Grill-The Blind Tiger Great food, great beer and a pool table.
Dance Clubs Banana Joe's is supposed to be an good place, a few other bars at the corner of Youree and King's Hwy. Flanagan's dancing, beer, and more pool tables they sometimes have cover bands.
The Sports Pub bar with food and beer and pool tables, Sharpie's alt-country bar in the vein of pat green's music. I hope this helps!
