Default gambling in macau

ok, believe it or not im going to a wedding in macau later this year. i know that gambling is big in macau, and i like to get some gaming in when i can. what are the differences between gambling in macau and gambling in casinos here in the states? are the games the same or do they play all kinds of different games? i like poker but i don't want to be throwing my money away cause i don't know the rules. and i don't want to make too many "feaux-pas" or whatever that saying is ;)

Default Re: gambling in macau

Hi Paul,

Gambling in Macau is much different than here in the states, like Las Vegas. The games of choice are blackjack, baccarat, roulette, boule, Sic bo, Fan-Tan, keno and tiger slot machines.

The most popular game by far is baccarat with VIP high-roller baccarat accounting for up to 60% of Macau's revenue. I was in Macau in the Fall of 2006 and couldn't find a poker table anywhere but I expect that to change as Macau grows. Write back if you have any more questions or want to give us your report on Macau after your visit.
