Question Maine Vacation

I am interested in visiting Maine for summer vacation. When is a good time to visit. Our family wants to stay by a lake to fish, relax and enjoy the outdoors. When are the fish bitting. what lake do we go to where there are other things to do. We know nothing about Maine. Can anyone help?

I would recommend looking into the town of Bethel. There's year round outdoor activities but seeing as how you'll be there in the summer it doesn't really matter. Great for families....biking and hiking tours available.

Or there's always Moosehead Lake Maine. Definitely a good place to explore some of the state's history.

Maine offers everything from biking, camping, fishing, golfing, and cruises. It all depends what your family is interested in doing.

How long are you planning on staying?

The weather in Maine starts to rise in April/May. Towards the end of May the average temp is high 60s to low 70s. Though, this year has definitely shown some odd weather. But if we go by past averages, May shouldn't be too bad. Otherwise, by September the heat will have gone down and you'll enjoy your vacation a bit more.
