camping in maine

we are looking at camping in Maine in the first week of June. Has anyone camped in and around Maine and tell me what is like?

Hi there,

Maine offers over two hundred campgrounds throughout the entire state where you can choose to tent or simply take your RV with you.

Places in the south coast of maine such as Old Orchard beach are a great spot for camping if you like being close to the beach.

A great campground on the Old Orchard beach which is ideal for groups and families is the Hid’n Pines campgrounds which offers facilities for RVs, as well as tent sites.

In the other hand, if you intend to do outdoor and water activities such as fishing then, I would suggest going west of maine where the lakes and mountains are found.

Another alternative is to camp at a State Parks such as Sebago Lake State Park, Camden Hills State Park and so on.
