|  Outdoor Legacy Visitors need to keep in mind that reserved lands are remote places with rugged terrain and, in many cases, expanses of roadles backcountry. They have less staff than state parks and only "primitive" recreational facilities. There are no showers at camp sites, for example, and boat launches are small, unpaved and best suited for canoes and other small craft. Some reserves are more accessible and offere more in the way of recreation, but even day trip require some advance planning. |
