| Aroostook is green, green, green, with a huge sky. It's a wide open, clean landscape, and it's rural and lightly populated. A lot of people say the St. John Valley looks like Ireland, but I think it looks more like central France, with its picturesque little villages. There aren't too many people hare, not too much traffic on the roads and people tend to be polite drivers. And it's not commercial. People down state have a concept of what Aroostok is that is actually contrary to what it really is. We hear it over and over again. I never thought it was so beautiful up here. |
