It starts on the first day of the Chinese lunar calendar and gifts of red and orange are exchanged symbolizing prosperity and good luck. - Hari Raya Puasa Hari Raya Puasa is one of the most important events in Malaysia for Muslims. After a month of fasting during Ramadan in September the first day of Syawal, in the tenth month of the Muslim calendar, is celebrated with the utmost enthusiasm. |
