hiya,

we'll be in Kota Kinabalu for a week only and i was wondering what attractions and things to do i can expect in Kota Kinabalu?

Kota Kinabalu will not disappoint you. It is an intriguing place with many customs and traditions, flavorful cuisine and great shopping.

Kota Kinabalu offers exciting shopping opportunities such as local handicrafts as well as a number of galleries with a variety if interesting exhibits including old photographs, totem figures, ancient pottery and a collection of human skulls from Sabah's "headhunting" history.

Also, Kota Kinabalu is home to:

- The Atkinson Clock Tower which stands on the bluff toward Signal Hill

- The Gaya Street Fair which is one of the events held every Sunday where locals and tourists buy a variety of goods and test out their bargaining abilities

- Sabah Museum at Old Palace Hill

- The famous Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary.
