family vacation in Maryland

My husband and I are looking to take our kids for a family vacation in Maryland in the summer, we have never been there. Any suggestions on where to stay, what to do, where to eat, etc. Are there any beaches? Any input would be appreciated

I would suggest either Ocean City or Ocean Pines. Ocean City is one of the best places for a family vacation because it boasts numerous activities, family events and hotels to meet all tastes and budgets. For instance, the 10-mile stretch of free Atlantic Ocean beach in Ocean City features swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, surf fishing, kite flying, sand castle building, jogging, and a host of other pursuits.

Ocean Pines is my second choice as it is just a short drive on Route 90 to Ocean City. Ocean Pines has a mixture of waterfront attractions and cabin rentals. There is also a yacht club and marina, an 18-hole golf course, several swimming pools and numerous parks.
