| Hey guys, We are planning to drive from Boston MA to San Francisco in early Feb. Is winter not a good idea to drive across country? Do you have any recommendations for which route to take and suggestions or tips? Thanks! |

| There are a couple of routes that you can take fro driving from Boston to San Francisco. If you don't mind driving in the mountains, Highway 80 through the Rockies is a very scenic route. If you don't want to be driving in the mountains, you can also take Highway 40 across then heading up near Las Vegas. A few other pointers I can give you: use all-season tires, check the weather reports and remember that days are shorter so you'll be driving through night most of it. |
