Where might I take my 11 yearl old granddaughter for a birthday day trip? We've been to Lowell to see the mills and canals there. Also to the Freedom Trail, Old Ironsides and Paul Revere's house. What else might interest a young lady for a few hours within an hour of central Mass.?

I actually wrote a post last week on things to do in Massachusetts. You can check out the link for information. http://www.destination360.com/forum/...achusetts.html These seem more central though and the chances are that since you are from the area you may already have been to these places. Also if you look at the section of the website on things to do in Massachusetts you'll find places of interest listed down the left hand side of the page. Other suggestions are Cape Cod Seal Tours, Trek with Llamas in Pinetum Farm, visit the Wolves in Wolf Hollow, Dr. Seuss National Memorial, the Red Jacket Beach Resort, the ecotarium Worcester and Whip City Speedway. I hope this was helpful

travelling on the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) is pretty entertaining...especially after either a Red Sox game or a Celtics/Bruins game. Great time to people watch...=)
